By consistently delivering innovative campaign formats, Another Colour has established a strong partnership with IHG. Our work now spans various regions, including Australia, Asia, the Pacific, and Japan, combining creativity with cultural sensitivity to cater to multilingual markets. We have also been invited as guest speakers at the global IHG Marketing Academy.

Find your sweet spot this Winter

As consumers faced rising living costs, we sought to capture the essence of winter while highlighting sunny getaways. We brought this concept to life with the theme of “finding your sweet spot,” appealing to both budget-conscious travellers and luxury seekers throughout the campaign’s city and resort phases. Creative animations filled the void left by limited video assets, generating significant engagement and resulting in an extended run for the campaign due to its success.

Splash into Summer

Standing out in the competitive summer travel market without relying on discounts required a bold approach. We shifted focus to the emotional draw of summer holidays, featuring dynamic photography of people enjoying carefree travel moments. This imagery portrayed breaking free from everyday routines, showcasing the breadth of IHG’s destinations and the benefits of the loyalty program.

The campaign included both digital and print advertising, and we also developed customisable Canva templates to give global teams a cost-effective and agile way to adapt the creative for their local markets. During the same period, we extended the concept to Japan (where it was winter), promoting warm-weather properties as an irresistible alternative to cold days.

Discover Japan, from sushi to Shibuya

IHG’s first promotional collaboration with ANA, Japan’s leading airline, aimed to entice Australian travellers to discover the magic of Japan. The design inspiration came from the distinctive geometry of the Japanese flag, used to showcase the country’s rich cultural and natural wonders, from the bustling streets of Shibuya to serene mountain landscapes. Thorough consultation ensured the campaign connected with various audiences, highlighting key selling points in a culturally sensitive manner.

Book it forward this spring

Spring’s seasonal downturn was addressed with a playful yet strategic approach. The “Book it forward” campaign encouraged travellers to think ahead by securing their plans with an extended booking period for stays into 2025. A hand-drawn arrow graphic, inspired by the IHG One Rewards logo, added a personal touch, creating a sense of urgency while celebrating the freedom to plan ahead.
