It begins with an invitation. First impressions count, and the right invite can make your audience think, feel and become motivated to attend your Conference, Launch, Trade Show Fundraiser, Gala Dinner or Special Event.
With so many marketing channels available, sometimes fundamentals of event branding can get lost. Distinction and consistency are key markers of success that will keep event attendees engaged short term and create a lasting impression stemming from their experience.
We believe communicating the company’s message and goals are paramount but also the message and goals of the event itself are just as integral to the marketing strategy. Here are some of the ways in which we have made our client’s events memorable affairs.
Some of our most accomplished work has sprung from our continued relationship with Taronga Zoo. The annual black tie Taronga Dinner has exposed the plight of all creatures great and small. Each evening draws a crowd of high profile associates and sponsors whose contributions and influence can be felt long after the event draws to a close.
A good indicator of any successful event are measured results. Nowhere were these more apparent than the Black & White Lemur Ball where over $500,000 was raised on the night; or with Five for the Wild where record-breaking funds raised were then directed towards breeding and conservation projects to assist these endangered species.
When established high-end brand Dom Pérignon and world-renowned artist Jeff Koons collaborated in early 2014 it was a given that the event and subsequent branding to launch the limited edition bottle and sculpture had to exude luxury. The key centrepiece we created for the event was a sophisticated matte black, pink foiled, spot varnished postcard. An inspired union.
Alice in Wonderland is the rich theme we mined to inspire graphics for the MFAA Mad Hatter’s Ball. Our clients at Event Emporium organise this annual gala dinner to celebrate those who display excellence in their chosen field. The awards night, like the invitation, was a collage of colourful characters and brilliant set pieces, where a sense of curiosity reigned.
Event Emporium also partnered with City of Sydney to put on what can only be described as a degustation homage to Miss M herself. With the ambiance and theming of this lavish period, we were asked to create a logo, menu and program with a difference. Using original paintings of Marie Antoinette, hand-painted neon type and quirky collage illustrations, we developed a surprising and memorable piece that brought another dimension to participating in the event.
Successfully branded events motivate your target audience to future action. At Another Colour it is our responsibility to ensure the genesis of your event and its visual identity are deftly executed, which will result in the most assured type of publicity – word of mouth.
The whole process starts with the key elements of event branding – a name, tagline, logo and invitation – but can culminates in programs, environmental graphics, and even digital applications. We use trusted printing contacts, who focus on high quality production, and skilled web developers that take our aesthetics into the digital realm with precision.
Another Colour can facilitate a targeted and thoughtful approach that is required to assemble the many and varied elements surrounding the creation of an accomplished branded event.
