As part of our continued support for Taronga Zoo we were asked to create a memorable invitation, intended to inspire guests to attend the red-carpet event. This year’s cause were Australian Sea-Lions: proceeds supporting breeding facilities and marine research.
For the 2015 event, money raised was going towards the construction of a pupping pool and breeding facilities for the endangered Australian Sea-Lion.
Inspired by the sea-lion’s habitat, a tranquil aquamarine seascape featured on the cover. Upon opening, a cascade of waves tumble out, delighting the invitee with surprise. Event details are read between the waves’ crests, with pop-ups of cute sea-lions ducking and diving, beckoning attendance.
Gold foil was used for the event logo to give the invitation a regal and luxurious feel, using a flowing script. In line with Taronga’s environmental ethos, 100% post-consumer recycled paper was used.
Another Colour is proud to be a supporter of the Taronga Foundation since 2010. The invites designed for the Taronga Dinner set the theme for the event, from decor and to signage promotional material. Because each event is in aid of a different species, our interactive invites have become a virtual safari of different endangered animals from around the world.
