Aim

A trip to Rodin’s garden in Paris and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York inspired an exploration of classical sculptures re-imagined in early-internet colours.

Method

We placed ancient Greek and modern statues in unexpected landscapes of strong geometrical shapes and heavenly skies. The statues absorbed the lurid colours of their background and became part of a new story.

Results

The unexpected juxtaposition of statues, straight lines and intense gradients of colour become reminiscent of Peter Saville’s Technique album cover for New Order and the experimental websites of visual artist Rafaël Rozendaal.
